Albert Keith Harwood aged 73 passed away in Avon Park, FL on December 25, 2022. The only child of Jack and Lila (Stone) Harwood, Keith was born on July 19, 1949. After graduating from Ben Lomond High School in 1967, he enlisted in the US Army serving his country until the early 1980s. He was then employed as a civilian at Hill AFB, Utah. He continued serving his country as an Apache helicopter pilot with the Utah National Guard participating in many missions during Operation Enduring Freedom.
He married Karen Wright on August 3, 2011 in Avon Park, FL where he spent his remaining years.
Keith is survived by his wife, Karen; his daughters, Kimberley (Carl) Grin, Lisa (Chad) Tuck, Robyn (Chris) Robertson, and Katrina (Derrick) Hawkes; grandchildren, Zachary, Taryn and Carson Grin, Breanna Smith, Brooke (Caleb) Eickholt, Krystal Harwood, Samantha Robertson, Hunter, and Keegan and Bryton Hawkes; and three great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Kevin (Vicky) Wright; Karen's daughter, Starline (Dave) Albert and their four children. Keith also leaves behind many cousins and cherished friends. Keith loved his dogs, Patches and Pete, and was often seen driving them in his golfcart socializing with the neighbors.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd. where military honors will be accorded.
