OGDEN a€" Albertha Ann Finnerty, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend died Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Ogden Regional Medical Center.

She was born November 16, 1924 in Clearfield, a daughter of James Edward and Albertha Burt Clark. She and her five brothers and four sisters were raised by loving parents who taught and exemplified the values of family, hard work and caring for one another. She married the love of her life, William J. Finnerty on June 22, 1945, and together they shared many years of wonderful experiences.

Her life was focused on her family, teaching by love and example, and was also full of adventure. Although she and her family lived in many places, her home was always a warm and loving one. She volunteered many hours of service as a Girl Scout Leader, attending leadership conferences in Germany, and as a "gray lady" in military hospitals. She traveled the world, visiting all seven continents. She loved meeting new people and made friends wherever she went. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Surviving are her husband, William, of Ogden; one daughter, Jolene (Stan) Stoll, Centerville; daughter-in-law, Pat Finnerty, Ft. Collins, CO; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Albertha is also survived by two sisters, Lois Johnson, Bountiful; and Donna Mildon, Sunset. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, William, five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 17, at 11:00 am at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may visit with the family at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 pm and Saturday 9:45 to 10:45 am.

Interment will be held immediately following the services at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
