Aldon Remon Campbell, 81, died October 22, 2013 at Kindred Care Center, Ogden Utah.

Aldon was born July 12, 1932 in Richfield Utah, to John Larvin Campbell and Margaret Eva Pope.

He was the fifth child. He married Carol Johnson on December 11, 1951 and were later divorced. They had 6 children. He found his High School sweetheart was available. Aldon married Mary Elizabeth Dalton on September 13, 1983.

Aldon started driving truck for his father at 14. He entered the National Guard at 17 then transferred to the Navy. He was assigned to DD760 John W. Thomson and on the way to Korea, when he was injured in Pearl Harbor and sent back to San Diego. When discharged in 1953, He went back to truck driving. In 1965, He went to work at Hill AFB as a mechanic. He retired in 2000 with 35 years in Civil Service.

Aldon served as a Scoutmaster, and was in the Civil Air Patrol for a while. He loved to fish and hunt. Aldon loved Westerns and War movies.

Aldon died waiting clearance to be sealed to Mary.

Surviving are his children: Remon(Kathleen) Campbell, Nancy(Chris) Hall, Cherylann Campbell, Peggy(Sonny) Sims, and Mary Dalton. Stepchildren: Leslie Wobig, Sharon Larson, Gary Patrick, and Anne Patrick. His Brother Markay Campbell and sister, Marquitta Larson, 28 Grandchildren, one of whom, Victoria, that they helped raise and many Great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Larvin Voyle, Floyd Derel, Garn Glade, Cecil L. His 1st wife Carol Johnson and 2nd wife Mary Elizabeth Dalton. His son Richard Larvin, Granddaughters Marcia Watkins and Elisha Campbell.

The Family would like to thank the staff at Kindred Wasatch Care for the care given Aldon in the last months.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 1, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park, Bluffdale, UT.
