Aletha E. (Lee) Hickox Warn

Aletha E. (Lee) Hickox Warn passed away peacefully Saturday, May 16, 2009.

Lee was born February 6, 1924 at Aguilar, Colorado to Mary Katherine (Feister) and Si Hickox. The family moved to Ely, Nevada in 1932 and then to Deer Lodge, Montana in 1937 and later to Drummond, Montana where she graduated from Drummond High School in 1942. She attended Business College in Great Falls, Montana remaining there until her marriage to Wilbur L. Warn on September 11, 1944 at Gold Creek, Montana. They resided in Norfolk, VA until Wil''s discharge from the Navy in 1948; moving, with their new daughter, to Utah (Sahara Village outside the main gate) at Hill Air Force Base where Wil was employed. Lee also worked at HAFB from 1958 until her retirement in 1984.

Lee and Wil enjoyed 65 years traveling, waterskiing, snow skiing, RVing, dancing and walking at the mall. They were members of the Hill Ski Club, Good Sam''s Northern Utah Golden Spikers, The Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Citizen Mobile Patrol Unit for Clearfield City. Lee was a member of St Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Layton, Utah for more than 60 years.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Wil, in March, 2009; mother and father, a brother, and a nephew. Surviving are her daughter, Mary Kingry of Clearfield; a sister Dorothay Murphy-Henry (Joe) of Florida and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 9 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 South Chapel Street, Layton. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Prayer services at 7 p.m.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, South Ogden.
