Alexander G. Fontas

Alexander G. Fontas, age 98, passed away on December 12, 2012 in Glendale, Oregon. He was born on May 6, 1914 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He dedicated his whole life to the Red Cross, retiring in 1978. He continued volunteering for many years.

Alexander is survived by his daughter, Judy Meirndorf; grandchildren, John and Amanda of Azalea, Oregon and sister, Rene Poulos of Clearwater Beach, Florida.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, Ogden, 674 42nd Street with Father Mario Giannopoulos, Officiating.

Services entrusted to Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary.
