Alfred Skiby “Skip” Alfred Skiby, 92, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 in Bountiful, Utah. He was born May 14, 1920 in Logan, Utah the son of Alfred and Kirsten Skiby. Married Josephine Catherine Sheehan May 21, 1942 in Chicago IL. She passed away in June of 1991. Alfred served in the US Navy during World War II in the Pacific. He worked as a aviation metalsmith repairing damaged aircraft. He was employed as an auto body mechanic for Hayes Brothers Buick. He loved being a grandpa and great-grandpa. He was the best in the world. Survived by four children Gerald John Skiby (Gwen), Kevin Peter Skiby, Kathleen Joan Skiby and Karen Skiby, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 7, 2012 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Private inurnment to follow at Lindquist Washington Heights Memorial Park Ogden, Utah. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
