Alice Burnett Adams Together Again

CLEARFIELD a€" Alice Burnett Adams 84, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away August 9, 2008 in Ogden, Utah. She was born December 1, 1923, in Clinton Utah to Joseph David Burnett and Olive Lucinda Summers.

She married Ben Elias Adams August 27, 1942 in Preston, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked in the Jr. Sunday School, Primary and was a counselor in the Relief Society

Alice worked at Sperry Rand/Univac and retired from Hill Field Air Force Base. She was self employed through Home Interior & Gifts for over 25 years.

Her family was her most important thing.

Mom loved to have family get togethers and she always had a family Christmas party. Mom loved to decorate her home and always took great pride in how her home looked. Mom loved to cook and taught her daughters her cooking skills. She cherished the time she traveled with her husband.

She is survived by her sons: Stanley (Verdeen) Adams, West Point; Gregory (Cindy) Adams, Layton; Jeffrey (Becky) Adams, Syracuse; daughters: Sandra A. Stoddard, Layton; Lana McCowen, West Point; Paula (Scott) Gardner, Fruit Heights; 25 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, five sisters and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 15, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
