Kay, as all her loved ones knew her by, was born May 21, 1927 in Afton, Wyoming, a daughter of Evan LeRoy and Rena Alice Hale Morgan. She grew up on a farm in Rigby, Idaho and graduated from Rigby High School in May of 1945.
Kay was very musically talented and sang in many choirs, duets, and trios. After high school she moved to Ogden to help with the war effort and was employed as a secretary at Defense Depot Ogden.
While in Ogden she met her true love, Carl Evan Carlsen “Dick”. They were married February 21, 1947. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. They made their home in Riverdale where they lived for over 40 years. Carl preceded her in death on December 6, 1976.
Kay was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in various callings.
She retired from Hill Air Force Base.
Kay loved to create ceramic dolls and taught others to do the same. She also loved to do many other handi-crafts. Kay and Dick loved to fish and camp. Kay was dearly loved and will be sorely missed but we know she is in the arms of her dear husband.
