Alice Odd Probst Jensen

NORTH OGDEN a€" Alice Odd Probst Jensen, 85, died Sunday, July 29, 2007 at Manor Care Nursing Center of causes incident to age.

She was born April 3, 1922 in Clearfield, a daughter of Joseph Newman and Ruby Ann Clark Odd.

On November 26, 1941, Alice married John Edward Probst in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. John preceded her in death on December 28, 1979. She married Victor Jensen in December of 1986 in North Ogden. He died in December of 1988.

She was raised and educated in Clearfield graduating from Davis High School in 1940. She lived in Ogden for 13 years, Pleasant View for 24 years and in North Ogden for 15 years.

Alice was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as teacher in the Young Women''s program.

She worked for Moyes Dental Group, Weber School District and the Internal Revenue Service.

Alice was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed dancing, sewing, gardening and loved flowers.

Surviving are three sons and three daughters, Dr. David (Carole) Probst, Fallon, NV; Ralph Probst, San Francisco, CA; Dean Probst, Salt Lake City; Joanne (Roger) Valentine, North Ogden; Karen Knowles, Ogden; Laura (Dennis) Moody, North Ogden; 24 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers and one sister, Melvin (Evelyn) Odd, Buckley, WA; Joseph Odd, St. George; Melva (Darrell) Page, West Haven.

Preceding her in death were her parents, brother, Leonard Odd, sister, Carol Braund, daughter Colleen Pollard, grandsons, Jeffery Valentine, Stephen Knowles and Brian Knowles.

The family expresses special thanks to the staffs at Manor Care Nursing Center and Applegate Hospice.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd.

Friends may call at the mortuary on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery.
