“Together Again”
Alice A. Kennedy, 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2013. She was born on November 17, 1919 in Salt Lake City the daughter of Phillip M. Kellogg Sr. and Ivy Caroline Jensen Kellogg.
She married Steve M. Kennedy on September 21, 1940, in Washington D.C. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Alice followed her husband’s FBI Career to many places and later moved to Ogden where she lived until her passing.
Alice worked as the secretary in several elementary schools in the South Ogden area. She enjoyed doing needlepoint and crocheting doilies. Alice was the queen of shopping and she loved it. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She looked forward to the monthly get together with her group of friends. Family and friends enjoyed visiting with her so much they didn’t want to leave. To her husband, Steve she was known as “Peaches” and he liked to call her his “little gypsy” because she loved her jewelry.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Alice is survived by her son, Dennis (Rita) Kennedy, Ogden; daughters, Carolyn (Gordon) Affleck, Bountiful, and Deanne (Don) Jenks, Inkom, ID; 18 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and brother, Ron S. Kellogg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Phil Kellogg and sister, Donna Daggs.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
