Alice Faye Clark Williams Nelson 10/15/1940 ~ 11/27/2013
Alice Faye Clark Williams Nelson, 73, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013. She was born on October 15, 1940 in Crete, NE, the daughter of James Clifford and Pauline Casper Clark. She grew up in Crete, Nebraska, and settled in Utah in 1979.
She married Leslie Anthony Williams on December 27, 1958 in Crete, Nebraska, and they enjoyed nearly 36 years together before he passed away in May of 1994. She then married Morris Nelson on October 16, 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Morris passed away on February 12, 2001.
Alice worked at the Dugway Proving Ground for 15 years before going to IRS and retiring after 14 years there.
She loved camping, shopping, enjoyed attending the Greek Festival and Oktoberfest, and enjoyed cooking and going bowling.
She will be remembered for her excellent work ethic and strength of character.
Alice is survived by her sons, Robert Williams, Jacksonville, FL; and Lennie (Tracy) Williams, Washington Terrace; daughters, Lisa (David) Chism, Vernon, AL; and Angela James, Ogden; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Jim (Kay) Clark, Crete, NE; and Marvin (Mona) Clark, Council Bluff, IA.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, and one great-grandson, Adrian Merchant.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
