Alice Onishi, 89, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at her home in Roy. She was born July 6, 1934, in Tacoma, Washington, the daughter of Frank T. and Kazue K. Taketa Hattori. Her family moved to Ogden, Utah, where she graduated from Ogden High School and attended Stevens-Henager College.

She was not only a wonderful mother, but also a caring, generous woman always putting others first. When the grandchildren came, she was the best grandmother. She was truly happy spending time with her family, specifically her grandson Jakob. The two had a relationship that was totally selfless and eternal. You could always see the love and joy in her eyes and smile when spending time with Jakob.
Alice is survived by her son, Carey Onishi; two grandchildren; brother, Tommy (Kim) Hattori; and sister, Judy (Tad) Kawaguchi. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Nob (Masaye) Hattori and Mas (Ruth) Hattori; and grandson, Jordan Onishi.
