Alice M. Whetton
SOUTH OGDEN – Alice Murdock Whetton, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the age of 74.
She was born at home on December 16, 1935 to Mabel Stanger and Levi P. Murdock. She attended Ogden City Schools graduating from Ogden High School in 1954.
Alice married George H. Whetton on September 16, 1960. They were married 29 years before divorcing. They remained good friends.
She worked for many years at the Ogden Clinic where she made many friends.
Alice was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Alice is survived by her daughters, Stacy (Kyle) Bosgieter, South Ogden; Suzanne Weaver, Farr West; five grandchildren, Kylie Whetton, Gage Bosgieter, Jenna Bosgieter, Mason Weaver and Chase Weaver. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.
She is also survived by two brothers and one sister, Gerald (Bonnie) Murdock, James (Bunny) Murdock and Irene (Norm) Knudson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, one brother and her son, Steven G. Whetton.
The family wishes to thank the many angels on the second floor surgical wing at McKay-Dee Hospital for the great care she received. She loved you all.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday Noon to 12:45 p.m.
Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
