Allan Carlyle “Whitey” Berry was born April 28, 1933 in Paradise, Utah, the third child of Joseph and Verda Berry.
He passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.
Allan was raised on the family farm where he was taught the principles of hard work. After graduating from South Cache High School, he went to work for the Arsenal until he was drafted into the US Army in 1954, where he served his country for two years. Upon his return, he worked for Union Pacific Railroad part time and also for a construction company.
In 1958, he married Patricia Ann Rose and together they had five children.
In 1962, Allan started his own construction company in which he successfully operated for 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, his parents, two sisters, two brothers and one grandson.
Allan is survived by his five children, A. Todd (Peggy) Berry, Ryan (Pamela) Berry, Michael Berry, Mathew Berry, Marcie (Tod) Bell, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one brother, Mark Berry, one sister, Judy Elwood, two sisters-in-law, Judy Berry, Nancy “Clyde” Smith, and one-brother-in-law, Paul Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 22nd at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
The family will meet with friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
