Allen W. Johnson
SOUTH OGDEN – Allen William Johnson, 92, died Friday, October 10, 2008 at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden.
He was born October 6, 1916 in Spanish Fork, Utah, a son of William M. and Myrtle Hardy Johnson.
In 1938, Allen married Audrey Humphrey in Spanish Fork. They were later divorced. He married Hazel Doughty in 1962 in Oakland, California. Hazel preceded Allen in death in December of 1980.
He retired from the railroad as a switchman following 35 years of dedicated service.
Allen enjoyed fishing and gardening. After retiring he built his dream home on Highway 1 in Gualala, California. He also enjoyed landscaping and taking care of his cats, especially “BlueBoy”.
Surviving are one daughter and one son, Carolyn Sharp, Ogden; Jerry Johnson, Dallas, TX; five grandsons, one granddaughter, 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild with the second one on the way.
Also surviving are three brothers and four sisters, Reed Johnson, Ray Johnson, Paul Johnson, Betty McKell, Marion Parduhn, Donna Johnson and Norma Schultz.
Preceding Allen in death were his parents, his wife Hazel, and three brothers.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 16 at 12 Noon at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery, with Scott Webre officiating.
