Allen La Vell Duke 'Kelly'

ALLEN LAVELL DUKE ‘KELLY’ Allen LaVell Duke ‘Kelly’ rejoined his eternal companion Thursday, April 09, 2009. He died of natural causes at the age of 95. Kelly was born May 8, 1913 to Allen Parcell Duke and Florence Varley in Lindon, Utah. He married Ida Leora Nelson September 29, 1937 in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Salt Lake City and then in 1968 moved to Farmington where they lived their remaining years. Kelly was a Locomotive Engineer for UPRR. Kelly is survived by his son, Gerald Duke and one daughter, Gaylia Walton; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister. He is preceded in death by his wife; one daughter, Sandra; three sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Monday April 13, 2009 at the Farmington 11th Ward Chapel, 695 S. 200 E., where friends may call from 12:45-1:45pm prior to services.
