Allen "Papa" Perry

Allen Eugene Perry

“Papa”

Allen was born on October 24, 1930 and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on December 17, 2015.  Allen was born and raised in Perry, Utah, the son of H. Eugene and Elva Allen Perry.  He graduated from Box Elder High School and served honorably in the Army during the Korean War.

He was married to Sonia Holst and later divorced.  They had one child, Michael who preceded him in death.

Allen worked in the vending industry for 55 years and retired in November of 2015.

He had many talents and hobbies.  He was known for his leatherwork which he loved to share.  His greatest passion was golf.

Allen married Judi Anderson on October 7, 1961.  The odds at the time were that it wouldn’t last two weeks.  They managed to make it 54 years.

Allen and Judi have three children, Chris (Carolyn), Stacy (Carter) Rae, and Alisa Wolcott.  He has seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and is also survived by a brother, Devern (Connie) Perry; and a sister, Elna Cazier.

Special thanks to our hospice angel, Bonnie Brown for her care and compassion to Allen and his family.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Brigham City Cemetery.
