Allie Forsyth, age 35, of Syracuse, Utah, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at home after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Allie was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 7, 1982 and grew up in West Valley City, Utah. Allie graduated from Hunter High School and then attended Dixie State College. She married Jared Forsyth in the Bountiful Temple on July 7, 2004 and later had three boys, Zack (9), Jackson (6), and Landon (4), who are the joy of their lives. She was a world-class wife and mother to her boys and was grateful for her knowledge of eternal families!
Allie was an incredibly optimistic person and loved life! She adored the beach and anything tropical. In fact, her email name was TropicAllie. She had a multitude of friends and made each one feel as if they were someone special.
Allie was diagnosed with breast cancer nearly three years ago, and never gave up. She did not complain and maintained a brave and hopeful outlook of a cancer-free future - even through multiple chemotherapy and radiation treatments, surgeries and hospitalizations.
The family wishes to express deep gratitude to the countless acts of service offered by friends, neighbors, and complete strangers alike. Allie couldn’t possibly comprehend the amazing legacy she left. Thank you also to Dr. Derrick Haslem and the Precision Genomics Team for their efforts in extending Allie’s quality of life for a few extra months.
Allie is survived by her husband and adorable sons of Syracuse; her mother Karen Christensen of Las Vegas, Nevada; three sisters, Amber and Mike of Herriman, Utah; Amanda and Chris Farley, Becky and Wade Spendlove, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; in-laws Richard and Glenna Forsyth of Kaysville, Utah, Carie and Jason Saetrum of Centerville, Utah, Sarah and Ryan Bywater of Kaysville, Utah, Ben and Stacy Forsyth of Layton, Utah and many nieces and nephews.
