Alta Helene Illum

Alta Helene Illum, 79, passed away peacefully and quietly on Wednesday, June 9, 2010.

She was born October 4, 1930, in Ogden, Utah to Chester Daniel Wright and Hattie Leah East. She resided for the past 41 years in Stockton, California.

Alta loved her roses, gardening in her yard, bowling, and was the president of several bowling leagues, but most of all she loved being a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Barney W. Illum, Stockton, CA; their four children, Steven Illum, Oakdale, CA; Harland Illum, Bozeman, MT; Cindy Illum Jones, Lodi, CA; and Kevin Illum, Dartmouth, MA; her grandchildren, Sean Illum, Krysta Buchanan, Jaime Jensen, Clinton Illum, Chase Illum, Steven Jones, Danielle Stringham, Nicole Blank, Amy Illum, Garion Illum, Sabrina Illum, Tabitha Illum; as well as ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Stanley Wright, and sisters, Veneta Doyle, and Vonda Barlow Shupe.

Alta was preceded in death by her brothers Frank Wright, Chester Joey Wright and Keith Wright.

She is loved and will be missed.

Graveside services will be held Friday, June 18th at 11 a.m. at the West Warren Cemetery, 6700 West 700 North.

The family will meet friends for a viewing on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
