Al passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 26, 2013. He was 97 years old.

Born November 25, 1915, Kenmare, North Dakota (2 years). Moved to Buffalo, Wyoming (5 years). Moved to Southern California (Chino) (20 years). Went through schooling and graduated from High School there. Worked nights at Lockheed Aircraft and attended Glendale Jr. College in the daytime. (1939-1942). Moved to Layton, Utah for work at Hill Air Force Base. (1942-1946) Went to private enterprise and worked at Bishop''s Ford Sales. (1947-1955). Went to work for Mountain Fuel Supply Co. (1955-1977) then I retired.

Served in the Army of the United States, Infantry. Took basic training at Camp Hood, Texas in June 1945. Was sent to Camp Roberts, California as Rifleman Instructor in 1946. Rank = Corporal.

Married Lorraine Layton Flint in August 1942. Children; Kay Flint born September 29, 1939, died December 24, 2011, Stewart L. (Margie) Jacobson born August 18, 1944. Joseph Peter Jacobson born February 11, 1949, died of Leukemia October 3, 1954 at the age of 5. Carrie L. Jacobson born December 8, 1959, lived one day. Died December 9, 1959.

Hobbies: golf, hunting, fishing.

We have 9 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Born of Danish Emigrant Parents of which I am thankful. While in Layton became active in Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) and Kiwanis Clubs. In Logan was active in Kiwanis and Mental Health Organization. In Price was active in Rotary Club. In Salt Lake City was active in Producers Council which worked with Architects and was a member of the Pacific Coast Gas Association.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 31, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Friday from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
