Amber Lee Matkin Amber Lee Matkin suddenly returned to her Heavenly Father June 17, 2009 to join her baby daughter Emily. She was born February 5, 1979 at Travis AFB, CA daughter of Randy and Jeri Matkin. After having her beautiful daughter Celeste she met the love of her life Benjamin Subesa Bumanlag Jr. and had three more adorable children Noah, Emily and Lilly. Her children are her crowning glory. She spent her childhood in California and Utah graduating from Young Parents High School. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Amber was a good girl. She was loving and kind with a sweet tender spirit and a heart of gold. She lit up the room with her contagious beautiful smile. She was bubbly and happy go lucky. Anyone that knew her fell in love with her sweet personality. Amber left behind Ben and her children, parents Randy and Nancy Matkin, Jeri and Linden Curry, sister Erin Pince, brother Cody Curry, niece Samantha, step-brothers and sister Gene and Jeff Curry, Tabatha McCain, grandmothers Diana Parker and Iris Glover, grandfather Jerry Parker, as well many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her sweet daughter Emily. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 22, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery. Thanks to the Davis Hospital Emergency Room and ICU personnel and Dr. Oberg. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to America First Credit Union in the name of Amber Matkin for her children.
