Amber Michele Ward “Babie Gurl” 1985 ~ 2007 Amber was taken from us suddenly on Saturday, October 27, 2007 after a tragic automobile accident. She was born on January 12, 1985 to Terry Groves Ward and Albert Ward in Wiesbaden, Germany at the military hospital where her father was stationed with the U.S. Air Force. Most of her childhood was spent in Layton. Amber’s short life was troubled at times, but she loved dancing, sports, gymnastics, softball and snowboarding with friends. She performed with the Touch of Class Dance Studio for several years, where she won numerous awards locally and nationally. She also loved traveling with her dance team on cruises and team competitions in softball. She was a natural athlete and excelled at modern dance, winning many awards. She was employed as a waitress at Sill’s Café in Layton. She lived life as she died “In the Fast Lane’. Her happiest times were spent with her daughter, dancing, playing softball, fishing and trips to grandpa and grandma’s cabin. Amber enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, but the most rewarding part of her life was her pride, joy and unconditional love for her daughter Alliyah. She leaves behind her daughter: Allyiah, her parents, Terry Stallworth, Layton; father Albert Ward, Mississippi; grandparents, Lynn and Mary Lou Groves, Fruit Heights; and many nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandpa and grandma Ward. She will be remembered as a loving mom, daughter, granddaughter, cousin and friend. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 2, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Amber Ward’s name to America First Credit Union, P.O. Box 9199, Ogden, Utah 84409.
