Amy Halbern

September 17, 1979 — October 31, 2018

In loving memory of Amy Bess Halbern, age 39, of Farmington, Utah, Somerset Farms. Amy returned to her Father in Heaven and those that passed before her on October 31, 2018, on one of her favorite days of the year. She passed away peacefully of natural causes in her home with her mom, Nancy and dad Stephen by her side.

Amy was born on September 17, 1979 in Brigham City, Utah to Stephen Mark Halbern and Nancy Schwartz Halbern. Amy was the baby of her three sister family, the oldest, Elizabeth Ann Blanck, and middle child, Sarah Rebecca Halbern. Amy spent her adult life living in Somerset Farms with her parents, in Farmington, Utah.

Amy was a friend to all that knew her. Amy loved quotes of which two stand out the most. The first,  “Laughter is the music for your heart to dance to”. Amy had the best laugh, which was how she dealt with adversary that came her way. The second, “With God, nothing is impossible.” Amy was a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ with a steadfast testimony for the Gospel. She was a lifelong missionary, teaching tolerance, practicing forgiveness and was the most unconditionally loving person one could know. If you had the honor of knowing her, you were one of true luck.

Amy was a lifelong student, graduating from Davis High in 1998, and graduated from Weber State University in Early Childhood Education. Amy was an avid traveler, spending much of her time on the road with her friends. She was a huge baseball fan, torn between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees.  Amy was an amazing photographer and strived to represent her world through pictures. Amy was an active person who loved tennis, hiking, and golf.

Amy had a special ability to draw those around her, to her, especially children. She is the adoring aunt to 5 children, who love her and will miss her immensely.

Amy is survived by her parents, Stephen and Nancy Halbern, sisters, Elizabeth Blanck and Sarah Halbern, brothers-in-law, Jory Blanck and Eric Hughes, nieces, Sadie, Haelee, and Oaklee, and nephews, Greyson and Asher, Golden Retriever, Sophie, aunts, Sally Snow, Barbara Schwartz, and Jan Halbern, uncle, Michael Halbern, cousin, Alexandra Halbern, and many, many other family and friends.
