Amy Sue Lawson “Momma” 43, wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend passed away on July 7, 2023 at her home in Farr West.
Amy was born in Brigham City to Kerry and Jolene Duncan on December 13, 1979 as an extra special early Christmas present. She was a happy child that loved and was loved by her devoted brothers Joe and Travis, along with her “special” sister Mary, all were close friends growing up and shared many joyous times that included the births of many nieces and nephews that she truly loved.
She, and the rest of the family, was blessed when she met the true love of her life and soulmate/best friend Jeremy Lawson who she later married on June 9, 2001. Never a more true and loving partnership that grew stronger every day and thru that love a family was started, Zyler then later Kort were the product of that love, Jeremy’s son Caleb was the perfect addition that made the family complete, that is until Caleb added his daughter Ava to the family which was Amy’s first grandchild. It was amazing how much Amy loved that little girl and to watch them together.
Amy was a passionate golfer who spent many an hour with Jeremy enjoying their special time together. And for some reason she liked the Tennessee Titans. She loved to draw and paint, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family and loved putting a smile on their faces as she performed tricks on skateboards, scooters and anything else she was destined to get hurt on.
She worked in the dental field and studied Massage Therapy, but her true labor of love was as a mother and wife to Jer and the boys, this where her best work was done.
Amy is survived by husband, Jeremy; children, Caleb Lawson, Zyler (Paizlee) Lawson, and Kort Lawson; granddaughter, Ava Lawson; mother, Jolene (Jim) Lefler; father, Kerry Duncan; brothers, Joe (Jen) Skiver and Brandon (Kathleen) Duncan; sister, Mary (Brian) Bruestle; father-in-law, Ron (Ruth) Lawson, brother-in-law, Gentry (Shannon) Lawson; nieces, Naomi and Makenna Bruestle. Kailee (Daniel) Perkins, Victoria (Michael)Wright, Brittny (Mario) Campos, and Eve Lawson; nephews, Dalon (Nikki) Skiver, Chance Parker, and William Lawson; and pets, Kai and Travie (named after Travis who passed in 2009).
She was preceded in death by her brother, Travis Skiver; grandparents, Joe and Mary Tribett; uncles, Jeff and Robert Tribett; and mother-in-law, Dianne Lawson.
The family of Amy wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all those whose lives were touched by Amy that have extended condolences and messages of love. Amy’s life ended way too soon but she will forever live in our hearts and within her two gifts to this world Zyler and Kort. She will always be there when you hug Zyler or Kort.
A Celebration of Life at a later date.
