Andrea Denise Neal was born to Parvin and Evelyn Neal (preceded in death) on November 26, 1962 in the city of Los Angeles. She was the older of their two children.
The Neal''s moved from Los Angeles to Compton, California in the late 1960s. It would be there Andrea would attend Rosecrans Elementary, Davis Junior High School; and Compton Senior High; where she graduated in 1980.
After Andrea graduated she took time to find herself. Working jobs, going to school, but nothing gave her more satisfaction than serving God. Andrea was an active participant in the Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church Youth Choir and Inspirational Choir along with being in the Edwin Hawkins Music and Arts Seminar. She was a dedicated member until moving to Utah.
In 1990, Andrea worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District at San Pedro Academy; a non public school for emotional disturbed children. It would be there she would meet her future husband, Dennis Mason.
Realizing she loved helping people; Andrea pursued a career in the medical profession. In 1997, she enrolled in Bryman College (now Eurest College) where she received her MA degree in 1998. Immediately following graduation, Andrea began working in the medical profession at Healthcare Partners (now DaVida) where she worked for 10 years. Unfortunately, due to change of ownership Andrea left Healthcare Partners and elected to pursue a different career in customer service.
In late 2009, Andrea joined the Otis Spunkmeyer family (now Aryzta). In March 2010, Otis Spunkmeyer consolidated all three of its call centers into one contact center located in Ogden, Utah. Andrea was given the opportunity to relocate. So she, along with her family, uprooted from Los Angeles and moved to Utah.
On May 17, 2010, Andrea finally married her long time love, Dennis Mason.
It was Wednesday, October 9, 2013 that God decided to call his angel home. We had the opportunity to experience her magnetic personality, her helpful spirit, her kind words, her love for God and her fellow man. Andrea had done all that God had set forth for her to do. She had run the race and finished her course. Now she is resting in God''s bosom.
Andrea leaves to cherish her memory; her husband Dennis; her step-children (Dennis Jr, Sonja, Tisha, Jasmine, and Yamaya); her father Parvin Neal; her sister Vitina Neal-Robertson; two brother-in-laws Craig Robertson and Philip Mason; one nephew/son Timothy Paul Robertson; her paternal grandmother Mary Hunt; her paternal aunt Mable Parker; three special cousins Cherise Parker-Anderson, Arin Anderson, and Daryl Lawler along with a host of other relatives and friends.
