Andrew J. Benik

Andrew J. Benik passed away Saturday October 9, 2010 in a tragic trucking accident in Logan Canyon.

He was born November 12, 1974 in Ogden, Utah the son of Lori Ann Yearsley Benik and Richard J. Benik Jr.

He lived in the Ogden area for most of his life. He loved BMX racing, fishing, camping, music, rock collecting and gold prospecting. He was also a talented artist and has worked with tattooing for several years. He loved having fun and was usually the life of the party. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his two sons and his little Baby Pie.

Daughter Emberlee F. Benik and her mother and fiancAC.e Holly E. Floto, sons Kylan E. Benik and Devin J. M. Benik and their mother Shannon K. Lohan, survive him. Also surviving are his parents Richard J. Benik Jr. of Ogden and Lori Ann Nelson, his brother Justin N. Nelson both of Clearfield, several aunts, uncles, cousins and 100s of friends. His phone always rang non-stop.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 15, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.

Donations can be made at any Zion''s Bank in Andrew''s name to offset funeral expenses.
