Andrew James Kimball at age 29 after valiantly mastering his challenges passed away at Ogden Regional Hospital surrounded by his family.

Andrew was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 27, 1992 to Lisa Ann Kimball. Gerald Alexander Merten with unconditional love stepped into fatherhood with him a few years later.  He was raised in Utah and Michigan with his brothers and sister, graduating from Hart High School.  He attended a year of college in Michigan.  He was so proud of owning his own home in Layton where he lived and loved being independent.

He was employed at Rotech Healthcare on the Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Team where his personality touched many lives whether on his team or not.

Andrew was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in different capacities.

He loved European History and random animal facts.  He enjoyed his luncheons with his sisters to experience different cuisines.  He had a fascination with flying when he was little, he wanted to become a pilot.  Andrew enjoyed strategy games along with different games he could play by gaming consoles.

Before Andrew was born medical specialists said he would not survive the night, which became a week, and now turned into 29 blessed years.

Andrew is survived by his loving family, parents Lisa and Gerald Merten, sisters; Elizabeth (Sierra), Olivia, brothers; Ian, Isaac, stepbrother Robert and his cat Nox.

The family of Andrew would like to thank Ogden Regional Hospital IMC and ICU staff for the care and compassion provided.  We would also  thank to the many healthcare workers that helped with his earthly journey.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday March 10, 2022 at the Fairfield Ward Chapel, 590 Anetlope Dr., Layton, utah from 6 to 8 p.m.
