Aneesa Pauline Thomas passed away peacefully on November 19th, 2017. She was born May 31, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Henrietta and Edward Shafter.

Aneesa married Wilford Thomas Jr. on December 9th, 1943 in Salt Lake City and were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Roy, Utah, for 41 years plus Aneesa lived another 11 years in Roy and 5 years in Colorado.

She was a member of the Roy 7th LDS ward , where she held various callings including Stake and Ward Yong Women President.

Aneesa was employed with J.C. Penney as a department manager and clothing buyer then retired after 25 years. Her two passions were traveling the world with family and working on genealogy.

Surviving is her daughter, Patricia (Mike) Nicholls; daughter-in-law, Sharene Thomas; five grandchildren, Lance (Laura) Nicholls, Curtis (Cammie) Nicholls, Tiffany (Justin) Mitton, Angelique (Trevor) Jones and Scott (MaryLynn) Thomas; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, siblings, spouse and son.

Graveside services will be held Monday, November 27, 2017 at 11:00 am at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd, Ogden, Utah.
