Angela Lane Hammer
Angela Lane Hammer, 86, passed away on January 16, 2018.
She was born in Manchester England on September 25, 1931 to William and Lillian Lane.
She graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School, Victoria Park England.
She married Elmo C. Hammer on June 3, 1954 in a small ceremony in Manchester England. Elmo was in USAF and they met at a local dance which they attended with mutual friends.
They started their life journey by sailing by ship to the United States. When arriving in the United States, they resided for a short time in Ogden, Utah but spent the rest of their life together while raising their children in the same loving home in Sunset, Utah.
Angela loved her family, life, tea parties, shopping, golfing, travelling and attending any party she was invited to.
She is survived by her husband Elmo (Mike) Hammer, children, Rochelle and Robert (Bob) Jelaco, Vivienne Hammer and Elliot Wigder, and Yvonne and Dean Fritz. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Lillian Lane and her siblings Francis (Frank), Norman, Mary (Maisey), Rita, John (Jack), Patricia (Pat), Gabrielle (Gay) and William.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. A luncheon will be held after the service at the Country Crossings LDS Church 1285 S. 2500 W., Syracuse, Utah.
