Angie Webster Williams
Angie Webster Williams our loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, incredible grandmother and dear friend, passed away from the effects of a traumatic stroke, Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Born to James William and Mina King Webster on October 11, 1934, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Angie was the youngest of three daughters. She grew up in Kaysville, graduated from Davis High School and attended BYU.
Angie learned to dance, sing and perform as a young girl with her sisters. Her musical talents served her well as she lent her beautiful alto voice to many singing groups through the years. In the summer of 1956 while attending a party, she caught the eye of Thomas Williams. After a whirlwind courtship, they were married, December 28, 1956. Little did Angie realize when she married her career Navy man that she would live in such diverse places; these included Washington D.C.; Long Beach, CA; Pensacola, FL; Silverdale, WA; and San Diego, CA. During the 54 years of marriage they welcomed three children to their family. Daughters Dennisie and Kammie and son Devin were the light of Angie''s life. A fabulous highlight came on September 20, 1980 when Angie, Tom, Dennisie, Kammie and Devin were sealed as a family in the Los Angeles Temple. Over the years their family added more members. Angie waited until the age of 62 to welcome her first grandchild. As far as grandmothers go, Angie was the best grandmother a kid could ever have. No one has ever loved their grandkids more than Angie!
Forever young at heart, Angie had an infectious laugh and was always the life of the party. As a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Angie loved to associate and serve her fellow members. She cherished her friendships with these ladies.
She loved to get together with family and friends for any reason and was always making delicious treats. Angie was always willing to welcome any unexpected guests to a get-together.
Service to others was the hallmark of Angie''s life. As a member of the LDS Church, Angie faithfully served in many leadership callings in Primary, Young Womens and Relief Society. She also loved working in the Bountiful Temple, where she served as a volunteer for 13 years with her husband.
Angie''s surviving family members include her husband, Thomas, of Fruit Heights, Utah; daughters Dennisie Williams, Kammie (Troy) Allen and Devin (Stacy) Williams; eight grandchildren; Chandler, Abbey, Mason, Blakely, Hannah, Emma, Jordan and Sammy. She is preceded in death by her father and mother and her sister Doraine Adams.
