Anibal Monterroso

Anibal Monterroso was born May 26, 1964 in Retalhuleu, Guatemala. He was the 5th of a family of ten children.

In 1973, he traveled alongside his family to Mesa, Arizona to be sealed in the Mesa LDS Temple. Afterwards, he was called to serve a mission in Costa Rica.

In 1983, he immigrated to the United States and has lived here ever since. In 1989, he met Sandra and they were married in 1995. They were sealed in the Santa Monica LDS Temple in 1997. Anibal and Sandra have two children, Daniel and Daniela Monterroso

. Anibal was a person who loved sports; his favorite team was the Los Angeles Lakers. He loved to travel and camp with his family.

As a father, he always took pride in his children’s school work, frequenting the school and making sure they made good grades. He was a good husband, a good father, a good son, a good friend, a good brother, and always tried to help his neighbor.

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he faithfully served in all of his callings.

We shall always remember you and we hope to see you again with the smile you always carried on your face.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2016 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South with viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 am.

Interment, West Point Cemetery.
