Anita Louise Naylor
July 17, 1945 ~ October 22, 2018
"Together Again"
Anita was born in Childress, Texas, the daughter of Leroy and Gatha Louise Kohler.
She married John F. Simister. They had a daughter Christine L. Simister born on January 14, 1969.
She worked as a hairdresser and eventually had a salon in the basement of her home until she retired in 2011.
Anita was introduced to the true love of her life Duane Naylor by her daughter in 1985. They were forever united, dating for 18 years, and married on December 8, 2003.
She had a natural and breathtaking talent for gardening and flowers. She and Duane spent most of their time working in their famously beautiful backyard made with their love.
Anita’s pride and joy in life was her family. She always cherished the little and simple things of life. She was a constant, secure, stable, exceptional example to her family, always willing to help with anything she could.
She passed away at her home of natural causes at age 73 on October 22, 2018, giving Duane the best birthday present, their reunion and eternal love. Her remaining relatives: sister, Pam Anderson; daughter, Christine Simister; granddaughter, Whitney Simister; and great-granddaughters, Octavia Waddell and Isabell Cavalli; and nephews, Steven Sexton and David Sexton.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Park West Ward, 1750 West 1600 North, Layton, Utah. Interment, Murray City Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
