Ann VanderPol Bybee
Ann VanderPol Bybee, loving wife, mother and sister, passed away peacefully at the age of 91 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimers.
She was the daughter of Peter and Jacoba VanderPol. She was born in Rotterdam, Holland on July 26, 1922. At the age of 5, she along with her parents and four sisters immigrated to Utah. She attended schools in the Ogden area, graduating from Ogden High School.
Ann married Keith Bigler Bybee, June 3, 1943 in California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. Following WWII, they returned to Ogden to live until 1955 when they settled in Clearfield where mom lived until her passing. Ann and Keith were sealed in the Ogden Temple in 1981. She enjoyed her positions in the MIA and as a Relief Society visiting teacher.
Ann’s great passions were her love of gardening, decorating her house, making sure everybody in the family was happy, and putting the finishing touch on everybody before they walked out the door.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and three sisters.
She is survived by her son, Kim Bybee, Clearfield; and one sister, Cobie Wilson, Clearfield.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield City Cemetery, 1050 South State Street. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
