ANN MARIE GRIFFIN NICHOLS

Ann Marie Griffin Nichols was escorted home on February 16, 2011 by her sweetheart who passed away just five days earlier.
Born September 29, 1926, in Clarkston, Utah, to Hyrum Dewey Griffin and Alice Jane Davies. Marie spent her childhood in Clarkston and Logan. She attended Logan High School and then Utah State University, where she received a degree in English. Marie had the opportunity of serving an LDS Mission in the Hawaiian Islands.
On July 17, 1952 she married Murray L. Nichols in the Logan Temple. Their union was blessed with eight children who became the focal point of her life. Mom spent most of her time and energy serving others, especially her children and grandchildren. Mom loved quilting and handwork, reading, doing crossword puzzles and playing Scrabble. She worked for Bean, Bean & Smedley Law Offices for several years. Mom served a one year mission with Murray in Oklahoma in her later years and also spent much of her time doing extraction work for the LDS church. Her love and devotion to her family will be greatly missed.
Survived by her children: Bruce (Janine), Jane (Dick) Anderson, Marianne (Cal) Springer, Ken (Julie), Wayne (Denise), Natalie Nicolls, Patricia (Joseph) Swenson, Bonnie (Thomas) LeFevre, plus 33 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Marie is also survived by her brother Dewey Lynn Griffin, and her sisters: Florence Butler, Audrey (Ed) Hutchison, Joyce Molyneaux, and Ruth (Trevor) Jones.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Kaysville 12th Ward Chapel, 1039 East Crestwood Road, Kaysville. Friends may visit family prior to the funeral from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
