Ann C. Profaizer
Ann C. Profaizer, 96, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013. She was born on August 14, 1916 to Luigi and Melania Andreis Costesso in Superior, Wyoming. She was raised in Ogden, Utah and attended Weber County Schools.
She married Mick F. Profaizer on September 19, 1934 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ogden. Mick passed away on September 14, 2000 after 65 wonderful years together.
Ann was a member of the Catholic Church and the Catholic Women’s League.
She worked at the Intermountain Burn Center in Brigham City, McKay Dee Hospital and as a lab tech at St. Benedict’s Hospital. Ann really enjoyed helping others and volunteered for the Red Cross in the Nurse’s Aide Corps. In 1944, Ann received the American National Red Cross Volunteer Special Services Certificate for the Nurse’s Aide Corps. In 1945, she earned an award for 150 hours of Volunteer Red Cross Nurse’s Aide Services from Thomas D. Dee Memorial Hospital, and the American National Red Cross meritorious personal service certificate for her service to the armed forces and suffering humanity in World War II.
Ann loved cooking, golfing, skiing, bowling and going to Wendover.
Ann is survived by her daughters, Delores (Ernest) Bertagnolli, Ogden, UT and Christine Dipoma, San Antonio, TX; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mick; parents, Luigi and Melania Costesso; brother, Dario Costesso and son-in-law, Larry Dipoma, COL. USAF – Ret.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 514 24th St., Ogden. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the church. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park.
