Anna Marie Brooke

Anna Marie Brooke RIVERDALE – Anna Marie Brooke, 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 21, 2012 at Rocky Mtn Care, Clearfield. She was born on March 9, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of Carl and Elizabeth Zipp Schoepko. She was raised and educated in Chicago. On November 25, 1937, Anna married David Gaston Brooke in Chicago, Illinois. David and Anna moved to Ogden in 1969. Anna was an active member of the Clearfield Community Church. She was a member of Martha’s Circle for years and served on several committees. She loved volunteering at Davis Hospital for 10 years. She was a talented seamstress and an amazing cook. She loved to play cards, listen to music and square dance. She enjoyed caring for her pets, camping, reading, and traveling, but her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and taking care of her grandkids. Anna is survived by her children, David (Verla) Brooke, Gail (Mel) Carey, Debbie (Tim) Waite and Rick Brooke; 15 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a great-grandchild, a brother Charlie Schoepko and sister, Gizelle Amberg. A Memorial service will be held on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Clearfield Community Church, 200 South 500 East with a reception to follow at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary. The family expresses thanks to the staff of Rocky Mtn. Care and Hospice for the love and kindness they gave to their mother and grandmother.
