Anna Madge Larsen Jenson was born October 24, 1920 to John H. Larsen and Anna V. Downard Larsen in Spring City, Utah. She passed away Monday, May 20, 2013 after a long illness.
In 1944, Anna married George W. Jenson in Walla Walla, Washington where he was stationed in the US Army Air Corp. Their family lived in San Pedro, CA, Hiro Japan, Mobile, AL and Okinawa Japan, finally settling in Sunset, Utah. She worked as a photographer for the University of Utah, US Civil Admin of the Ryukyu Islands and USAF at Hill Air Force Base. She retired in 1986.
She was a member of Our Savior''s Lutheran Church where she was active in Women of ELCA and Church Women United.
Madge loved gardening, cooking, bird watching, reading and crossword puzzles. At the time of her death, she was living independently at the Riverdale Senior Center where she made many dear friends.
She is survived by her children, Robert and Chris Jenson, and Michael and Linda Jenson; five grandchildren, six and A¾ great-grandchildren, and extended family. Madge was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and her dear sister, Aleen.
Our family would like to thank the office of Dr. Carl Gray and the staff at Utah Hematology Oncology for the extra years of love we received from our sweet mother. We would like to sincerely thank her friends and church women who provided transportation, prayers, friendship, comfort and treats.
A visitation will be held Thursday, May 23rd from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
Funeral services will be held Friday May 24th at 11 a.m. at Our Savior''s Lutheran Church, 5560 South 2300 West, Roy, Utah.
Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
