TUCSON, AZ a€" Anna Chard Pierson, 92, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2012. Ann was born June 16, 1919 to William Henry and Elizabeth Alice Marshall Chard in Liberty, Weber County, Utah. She was raised in Ogden Valley and graduated from Weber High School in 1937. On February 22, 1945 Ann married Ray J. Pierson of Ogden. Ann worked with her husband in the family printing business, Star Printing in Ogden, and later worked as a Tax Examining Clerk at the Ogden office of the IRS. Ann is survived by her two children: daughter Randy (John) DeHart of Tucson, Arizona; son Jeff (Amy) Pierson of Phoenix, Arizona and by her sister Alice Morris of Ogden. Randy and Jeff are left with treasured memories of a loving, patient and generous mother who always welcomed their friends into her home for a snack or a meal, and who took a genuine interest in every friend. Ann will be equally missed by her seven grandchildren who each remember her sense of humor, and her loving playfulness when spending time with "Grandma Gina". Grandma also leaves twelve great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Bill Chard; sisters Mary McKee, Lois Ward and Vee Chard; and by her grandson Ray Darrin Pierson. An informal Graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 16, at 10 a.m. at the Liberty Cemetery in Ogden Valley, Liberty, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary.
