Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother surrounded by her family passed away Thursday, September 6, 2007, at Manor Care Convalescent Home in Ogden, Utah.
She was born December 11, 1909, the oldest daughter of the late John E. and Elanora Miller Hoover of Chambersburg, PA.
Anna married the love of her life on February 26, 1931, the late Theodore C. Schellhase, in Hagerstown, MD.
She lived most of her life in Chambersburg, PA, until her retirement. She and Theodore moved to Utah to be near their son and grandsons.
As a teen she worked at Olympia Candy Kitchen later she joined the People''s Drug Store, retiring in 1972.
Her life revolved around her family and church. She loved spoiling her grandchildren with their favorite foods.
Anna was an active member of the Clearfield Community Church for over 30 years. She loved the Martha Circle, Wednesday Bible class and Friday Nursing Home Ministry. She was also a member of the Seniors Davis Hospital and Clearfield Seniors. The last four years she was an active member of the Community United Methodist Church, Washington Terrace.
She loved the Utah Jazz, not missing a TV game.
Anna is survived by a son, Robert E. (Trudy) Schellhase, Syracuse; a brother, Paul (Mary) Hoover, Gettysburg, PA; two sisters, Virginia Seilhamer and Betty Mull, both of Chambersburg, PA; two grandsons, Ted (Stacie) Schellhase, West Point; Allen (Angie) Schellhase, Kaysville; and four great-granddaughters, Abby, Whitney, Kaycie and Reagan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore, infant son, Theodore, a sister, Dorothy, four brothers, Charles, Dewy, Bud, Howard, and a granddaughter, Kathy Ann.
The family would like to thank all family and friends for all the love and support, especially the Hearts for Hospice staff and Manor Care staff for their superior care given to our mother. A gratitude of thanks to the CNA''s for their loving care. You are all awesome caregivers.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 10th at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Martha''s Circle, Clearfield Community Church, 200 South 500 East, Clearfield, Utah 84015, or your favorite charity.
