ROY a€" Anna Elaine Whitesides, 77, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2008 at McKay-Dee Hospital.

She was born on August 2, 1931 in Salmon, Idaho the daughter of Frederick Harper and Hortense Christensen Homer.

Elaine married Keith T. Whitesides on September 14, 1951 in Logan, Utah. Keith passed away September 7, 1981.

She worked at McKay-Dee Hospital for over 20 years, retiring in 1995.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Elaine enjoyed art, ceramics, crocheting, gardening roses and her grandchildren.

Surviving are her son Steven Whitesides, Layton; three daughters, Karlene Coleman, Roy; Marci (Joe) Boudreau, West Point; Shanna Snarr, Logan; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Homer, Layton.

Preceded in death by her parents and brother Richard Homer.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the Alzheimer''s Foundation.
