Anna Rose Willie
NORTH OGDEN – Anna Rose Stoll Willie, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007 following a short battle with cancer.
She was born April 24, 1928 in Wolfschlugen, Germany near Stuttgart, to Gotthilf and Roesle Rauche Stoll.
Anna came to the United States in 1948 where she met and married the love of her life, Rand Willie, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they raised four children: Ron (Anna) Willie, Roxana (Steve) Ellsworth, Karen Worthen and Sandra Wilcock.
Anna was an accomplished seamstress and gourmet cook, but her greatest joy was taking care of her family.
Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting and gardening. One of her greatest pleasures was traveling throughout Europe with her husband.
Surviving are her husband of North Ogden; their children and spouses, 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren with three more on the way.
Also surviving are her sisters, Emilie Strompf, Freida (Roland) Hummel and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Ernst and Albert, grandson, Cameron Willie, nephew, Reiner Hummel and son-in-law, Mark Wilcock.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Alpine Hospice for their kindness, care and compassion in making Anna’s last days comfortable.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery.
