Annette R. Holden beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother peacefully returned home to our Heavenly Father surrounded by her family on November 20, 2024. She was born October 19, 1942, in Heber City, Utah to Kurt P. and Fern Maurine Rothe. Annette married the love of her life Jesse LaVern Holden on April 20, 2007.
Annette spent her early years in Heber where she attended school graduating from Wasatch High School. She had many special friends from high school that she kept in touch with through the years. Annette met John R. McKnight in Heber where they were married on October 11, 1963. Annette and John moved to Wood Cross, Utah, where they lived for many years raising their six children.
As a lifelong, dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Annette served in many callings, including Primary, Relief Society, and Sunday School. The pinnacle of her church callings was serving together with Jesse as temple workers at the Ogden temple. She served as a den mother, PTA president, and volunteered as a Pink Lady at Lakeview Hospital.
Annette treasured the travels she and Jesse experienced. Annette’s most memorable travel experience was visiting Germany (the birthplace of her father) with her sister where they connected with many family members they had not met. Annette cherished her children, and never missed an opportunity to tell them how much she loved them and how proud she was of them. Annette loved to garden, growing beautiful flowers. Annette loved animals, especially the many special dog companions she loved over the years.
