Annie Lue Simmons Pope, was released from her frail little body, Sunday, December 11, 2011, at the Inn on Barton Creek, in Bountiful, Utah

She was born in Charleston, Utah to Heber J. Simmons and Violet Daybell Simmons. Although every year Mom celebrated her birthday on July 8, and every form she filled out, she put she was born July 8, 1929, her birth certificate says July 9, 1929. That would be our mom, wanting to open gifts early! She attended Wasatch High School. Married Rulan S. Pope August 26, 1947.

Surviving are her two daughters, Marsha (Scott) Wall, Centerville, UT; Lisa (Christopher) Strayhorn, Mobile, AL and a brother Lester (Wanda) Simmons; two sisters, Faye Giles; Flora Wilkins. Preceded in death by her husband, a son Glenn R. Pope, three brothers and one sister.

Sincere gratitude to many who assisted in caring with love and tenderness for our Grandma Annie and us, in her final stage of life a€" Barton Creek, North Canyon, Legacy Hospice, friends, family, etc. a€" you are loved.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E. Visitation will be from 9:45 to 10:45 prior to the services. Interment will be at Bountiful City Cemetery.
