Layton, UT – Annita L. Etcheverry passed away peacefully at her home on October 13, 2023. She was born on November 8, 1952, in Ogden, Utah to Stanley M. and Minnie R. Brown.
Annita grew up in Ogden where she attended Bonneville High School and Weber State College. She worked for Ogden City Schools as an occupational therapist for 35 years and loved the kids she worked with every day.
In 2002, Annita married the love of her life, Daniel Etcheverry. They were married in the Bountiful Temple and shared a wonderful 21 years together.
She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel, her children: Candice Chrisman, Cobie Chrisman, Janica DeJunker, Michael Etcheverry, and 10 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Janice Larson and her brother, James Brown.
She loved sewing, cooking, reading, & spending time in the mountains. She was a beautiful woman with a warm heart for all and was our loving wife, mother, sister, and nana. You are in our hearts forever.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd., South Ogden, Utah. Friends may visit with family from 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, please send a donation of your choosing to the Special Olympics Utah at sout.org in loving memory of her late son who we all loved dearly, Christopher Chrisman.
