Anthony Ray Bradley
October 7, 1970 - October 16, 2019
Shiprock, NM and Ogden, UT
On a beautiful, sunny day Anthony took one last fishing trip to Ogden Canyon. He leaves behind his mom Ida (preceded in death by his father Buddy); his wife Kellie; kids Lawrence (Ann), Carol, Teagan (Mashae), Sierra, Kai, Trevan and Nizhoni; and grandkids Payson, Parker, Madison, Tahoma; siblings Brian “Bird”, Roberta (Stuart- Jerrod, Claudia, Noelle, Ashton), and Jonathan.
Anthony was an avid outdoorsman and golfer, a doting husband and father, and very dedicated to all the members of his family. They are a close-knit group and he loved spending as much time as possible with them when he wasn’t out on an adventure with his new bride Kellie. When Kellie and Anthony met she may not have known how immersed in flannel, boots, fishing and Dallas Cowboys she was about to become but soon realized that those were the things she loved the most about him. His generous nature, his kind heart, his love of travel and cooking, and his ravenous sweet tooth are only a few of the things his family and countless friends will remember about him.
We’d like to share some notes from Anthony’s children:
“Your tender hugs are what I’ll miss most. My mind knows you’re in a better place, where there is no pain. You are at peace. I understand that, I just wish I could explain that to my heart. Love you forever.” -Carol
“Dad, I will miss you every single day. I’ll miss our concerts. I’ll miss our trips. I’ll miss our dinners. I’ll miss our football games. I’ll miss your hugs. I’ll even miss the little eye look you give me when I do something dumb. My kids will miss you but I promise they’re going to know how amazing you were. Thank you for everything you did. If it wasn’t for you, I would not be the man I am today. Even though I know you’re leaving, you’ll always be right here. I love you pops! We always will!” -Teagan
“Thanks for giving me the chance to call you my dad. You took me in as one of your own and loved me since the day I was born. I’m going to miss your calls and most of all your hugs. You touched so many hearts especially mine. I will cherish all the memories I have with you and my siblings. I love you forever and always dad.” - Sierra
“Dad, I’m glad I got to spend 16 years with you, you made life so fun, and I learned so much from you. I’ll forever miss our long car rides and how we’ve always competed in everything even though you always won. I’m grateful for everything you taught me. I love and miss you forever rest well Dad.” - Kai
“Dad, there are so many memories I replay in my head thinking about you and I’m going to miss making more. You were such a good guy to everyone. And I strive to be just like you. I miss you so much already and I can’t believe you’re gone. I love you forever and always.” - Nizhoni
“Even though he wasn’t my real father, he was like a dad to me. He always was trying to coach me with any sports or life attributes. And he always had an answer to any question and would tell me the best tips on fishing and how to catch the fish. We always had a good time when the Cowboys played Green Bay. It was a little competition, I would be downstairs watching the game and him upstairs. I would yell up at him when the Packers made a good play and vice versa. It was fun because we would always give each other crap during and before the game. And even when it wasn’t our teams playing we still loved or football games. We always talked about fishing and funny stories during his life. I felt good around him because I could make jokes with him and always have a good laugh.” -Trevan
You’ve left us too soon Anthony. You will be missed by so many and we will all be lucky if we cross paths with anyone as loyal, genuine or caring. We can all use someone like you.
