Anthony "Tony" Carroll

Anthony “Tony” Carroll Beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, his life was cut much too short and he will be missed terribly by all who knew him. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 27, 1973 to Michiko and Mike Carroll. He passed away August 27, 2011. He was introduced to travel early in life. Before the age of one, he was off to Germany with his family until age three. He then moved to California where he began kindergarten in Los Angeles. As part of a military family, he again relocated in 1980 to Ogden, Utah. Here he was able to settle down and have a home where he could begin to develop lifelong friends. His Great Spirit and personality attracted many people whom he enjoyed and cherished their friendship. Tony attended Ogden High School where he began dating his best friend and love of his life, Amy Clark. He graduated from OHS in 1991. He received a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Weber State University in 2000. On September 1, 2000, Tony and Amy were married in a seaside ceremony in Carmel, California. With travel a part of his life and in his heart, Tony and Amy explored Europe and other parts of the world. They also enjoyed going down the Oregon and California coast. Tony’s love for animals, from beloved pets Abby and Maddie, to all wildlife was a core of his being. Tony had a tremendous passion for sports and was an avid L.A. Lakers and San Francisco 49ers fan. He rarely missed a game from the 80’s to this past season. He is survived by his wife, Amy Carroll, his parents, Michiko and Mike Carroll, and sister, Jaymie Carroll. Friends may visit family on Thursday, September 1, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.
