CLEARFIELD a€" Anthony W. Pace (Tony) passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 21, 2012. Tony was born February 2, 1915, in Enterprise, UT to Isreal and Effie Barlocher Pace. He was one of three children. He met his beloved wife and sweetheart, Leora Hunter Pace while attending Utah State University. They were married in 1941, and later sealed for time and eternity in the Ogden, Utah temple. They were companions in all walks of life. Tony and Leora lived in St. George, UT for two years, and 65 years in Clearfield, UT where they were loved by many friends and neighbors.

Tony graduated from St. George High School, after which he attended and graduated from Dixie State College. He continued his education at BYU, and Utah State University. He was an electrical engineer by profession. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for many years, Utah Power, Rocketdyne Corporation, and Wheeler Machinery.

Tony was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a High Priest and served in many callings in the Clearfield 2nd Ward for 65 years.

At an early age, his father taught him the value of hard work. He learned many carpentry and woodworking skills from him. Tony became a very talented carpenter. He was a creative master carver and loved working with his hands. He was a member of the Ogden Woodcarver''s Association. Tony was also active in his civic duties.

Tony loved his family. He is survived by his two children David (Jodi) Pace, and Sherry McMullin. He had five grandchildren, Nicole (Mike) Jamieson, Natalie (Scott) Wagstaff, Dawn (Jay) Lauti, Zach (Michelle) McMullin and Callie McMullin. He had nine great-grandchildren. His children and grandchildren will miss him greatly.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Clearfield 2nd Ward Chapel, 1175 E. 1245 So. Friends may visit family Thursday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the church. Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.

Services entrusted to Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

The Pace family wishes to express appreciation to Curo Hospice staff who gave Tony such great care. They also wish to thank everyone at Country Pines Assisted Living in Clinton, UT for their love and care for him.
