Anthony Player

November 5, 1967 — December 11, 2018

“I see trees of green, red roses too.  I see them bloom for me and for you, and I think to myself what a wonderful world”.

Anthony L. Player, age 51, made this world a better place.  He passed away December 11, 2018 while on vacation with his family in New York City, of natural causes.  He was born in Salt Lake City on November 5, 1967 to Marlin W. Player and Rebecca Jones Player Arndt (Gerhard).  He was raised in Roy, Utah and graduated from Roy High School.

He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Netherlands Amsterdam Mission and upon his return married his high school sweetheart Jennifer Hill on November 19, 1993 in the Salt Lake Temple for Time and All Eternity.  They are the parents of three amazing sons, Ethan Anthony Player, Keaton Marlin Player and Liam Gerhard Player.

Anthony graduated from Weber State University and the University of Phoenix with a master’s degree in business administration and later developed his own successful financial planning and retirement firm.  He cared about his fellow man, was loyal and acted with integrity while serving all people.  His examples of service were apparent in everything he did including his last act, donating his organs.  He especially loved and served his family, whether it was coaching their football teams, sleep outs in the basement, or frequent vacations.  Anthony was bigger than life.  He could fix anything, was an outstanding artist, was incredibly funny, had a quick wit and an infectious laugh.

He is survived by his wife Jennifer, his sons and his parents, a brother, Shawn Player (Diana) and a sister, Andrea Player.
