Anthony (Tony) Tremonte

LAYTON - Anthony J Tremonte 81, died Sunday, October 31, 2010 in his home of natural causes.

He was born July 17, 1929 to Angelo and Dolores Tremonte in Jersey City, New Jersey.

He married Theodora Henderson on July 5, 1952 in Flagstaff, AZ. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Theodora died September 3, 1978. He married Joan Rich on October 6, 1986 in Farmington, Utah. Joan died October 13, 2007.

Tony served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in the Philippines during the Korean Conflict. He spent the remainder of his career at HAFB until his retirement.

Tony enjoyed carpentry and painting. He had a sharp wit and a keen intellect. He was very proud and especially fond of his grandchildren.

Tony is survived by his children and step-children; Toni Tremonte, Mark Tremonte, Gina Tremonte, Dolores Tremonte, Vanessa (Rod) Dixon, John Tremonte, Dave (Melody) Ruth, Don (Kristie) Ruth, Dwight (April) Ruth, Duayne (Lori) Ruth; a sister; Anne (Joe) Davis and a brother; Teddy (Fran) Tremonte.

He was preceded in death by a daughter; Angela Tremonte, a sister; Connie Dreyfus and two step-sons: Doug Ruth and Darryl Ruth.

The family would like to thank all the wonderful friends and neighbors that Tony enjoyed so much during his time here on earth.

Memorial services will be held Monday, November 8, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Layton Central Ward, 60 W. Gordon Ave. Inurnment, Kaysville City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
