Anthony George Walker, Jr.

Anthony G. Walker Jr, affectionately called J.R. by family, passed away in his home with his loving wife by his side on September 14, 2023, after a brave battle with melanoma. 

Anthony was born in Inglewood, California on December 23, 1965, to Tony and Ruth Anne Walker. He is preceded in death by his mother Ruth Anne, sister Lisa, and stepmother Carolee. Anthony is survived by his wife Monica, father Tony (Kathleen), in-laws, step siblings, several nephews and nieces, and numerous extended family. Anthony had a special place in his heart for his mother in-law Roxanne and his Aunt Pat.

Anthony attended Bellflower High School in Los Angeles, and later received his Bachelors Degree in Marketing at California State University, Long Beach.

Anthony cherished spending time with his “wifey” and cats, Gus and Tina. Anthony also enjoyed morning runs (especially while it was still dark outside), everything Dodgers baseball, and 70’s classic rock. He could name the year, title and artist of every classic rock song and enjoyed sharing his love of music with others.

He was proud of his southern California roots and loved going home to visit. Anthony loyally served as a claims adjuster at Denial Management Inc. for over 25 years. 

A special thank you to Huntsman Cancer Institute for the extraordinary care they gave Anthony and kindness towards Monica the last 10 months.
